In 2010, the winter was harsh, the spring dry and late, the summer hot but not excessively so. After a sunny decade, this freshness was surprising. Then, two days of deluge stopped this ideal trajectory. With skill, the ripe grapes were picked and after 9 years of elaboration, the wine achieved its perfect balance. On the nose, the sweetness of tropical fruit, green mango, melon and pineapple shines through. Then more temperate notes emerge, the tingle of an orange peel, the mist of a tangerine. The wine breathes and its freshness is revealed. A tactile sensation of peony, jasmine and lilac. On the palate, the wine reveals its full, rich, intense character. On the palate, the matter takes on body and is reinforced with spicy and peppery notes. The energy lingers, leading to a magnificent saline finish.

The 2019 vintage was one of the coolest in recent years. The mild winter and abundant rainfall in the early months of 2019 ensured a good vegetative restart, in line with the previous year. The spring was cool, with temperatures below the seasonal average, especially in May, resulting in controlled vegetation growth and a phenological delay of the flowering phase of about two weeks compared to usual. The arrival of fine weather and the increase in temperatures in the first few days of June favoured a sudden growth of the shoots, ensuring a good leaf apparatus for the vines. The Pietrabianca harvest began in the first ten days of August with the Chardonnay, ending in the last days of September with the Fiano. Pietrabianca is an elegant Chardonnay with a small percentage of the indigenous Fiano, born at Tenuta Bocca di Lupo in the heart of the Murgia, and the origin of its name is inspired by this territory. "Pietrabianca" recalls, in fact, the rocks that farmers come across when preparing the soil and that, once ground, become an integral part of the soil and help enhance the aromas of the wines born there. The Pietrabianca 2019 has a brilliant yellow colour with greenish highlights. The nose is delicate, harmonious and marked by notes of white flowers and exotic fruit; in this vintage, the fresh balsamic sensations of sage and melissa, combined with those of lily blossom and toasted hints of hazelnut and vanilla, are enhanced. It has a pleasant persistence on the palate; the mineral and savoury notes delicately bond with the light buttery sensations. Its young expression already hints at excellent ageing potential.

In 2015, thanks to a winter full of rain and snow, the vines were able to 'wake up' in a mild spring, with a good water reserve. The budding was earlier than in 2014, as was the flowering that began after mid-May, which was followed by an excellent fruit set. The summer was dry and very hot, with temperatures 3 - 5°C higher than the seasonal average. After mid-August, the situation changed again with providential rainfall and the consequent drop in temperatures, which re-established the ideal conditions for the continuation of the vine's vegetative cycle, bringing the turgidity of the grapes back to optimal conditions. The 2015 Pietrabianca presents itself with intriguing fruity and mineral scents, soft and enveloping. It has a fine structure and a rich personality. The nose releases Mediterranean and vaguely exotic scents, with notes of yellow fruit, citrus and flowers in evidence, enriched by toasted, honey and vanilla nuances. The sip is soft, warm, velvety and enveloping, supported by a balanced freshness and enriched by fruity and delicately spicy aromas that slowly unravel into a long persistence.

The colour is a very deep ruby red; the bouquet is ample and complex, fruity with notes of plums, cherry jam to which a light spiciness and hints of tobacco are added. A full-bodied wine, soft and rich in noble tannins, with a finish that offers notes of cocoa, coffee and vanilla.
